We have power. Let’s use it now.
Stand with Palestine.
Refuse to fund the occupation.
Boycott, Divest, Sanction.
What is BDS?
Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) is a Palestinian-led, global movement launched in 2005. Inspired by the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, BDS is a non-violent strategy to pressure Israel to comply with international law.
The BDS movement targets institutions and corporations that are actively complicit in Israel’s violations of human rights. It is not aimed at individuals based on religion or nationality, but at systems of oppression.
For now, we will focus specifically on boycotting a.k.a. the refusal to buy products or services from companies or countries that are seen as complicit in the oppression of Palestinians.
Why Boycott?
Boycotting is one of the most powerful tools we have as bystanders to this genocide. It disrupts the flow of money and power that enables this violence, putting direct pressure on companies to end their involvement.
To boycott is to refuse to be complicit. We do not have weapons, but our money is an exceptionally powerful tool, capable of destabilising the very foundations of power. To boycott is to say: I will not help uphold a system that dehumanises and destroys.
How to Boycott?
It is recommended to AVOID THESE BRANDS because they either profit from or are complicit in Israel’s violations of Palestinian human rights and international law:
Corporations: Google, Amazon, Disney, Nestle, Unilever
Food: McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Cadbury, Nutella
Drinks: Coca Cola, Starbucks, Lipton, Max Brenner
Cosmetics: L’oreal, Estee Lauder, Ahava, Garnier, Dove
Retail: H&M, Puma, Nike, Zara
Travel: Air BnB, Booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor
Tech: HP, Intel, Dell
Petrol: Caltex, BP
It’s also recommended to avoid any Israeli companies.
What you can do instead:
SHOP LOCAL e.g. farmers markets, food co-ops, independently owned stores/eateries and handmade goods. Supporting small business circulates money through your community and helps real people, not corporations.
Support Palestinian owned businesses. Aussies - check out this online store or business directory.

DOWNLOAD AN APP
Find this confusing? Me too. Luckily, there’s an app to help you figure out who is complicit. Just scan the item barcode before purchasing to see if it’s on the boycott list. Easy!
My recommendation: No! thanks
